Why do we need to check electric fence for problems?

On electric fences, check the voltage occasionally also to make sure the proper amount is passing through the electrified wires. Insulators can break or move and cause the fence to short out on brace wires and fence posts. Sometimes you will hear a snapping noise when fences are shorting out.
